The Committee on House Administration is holding an oversight hearing entitled The Congressional Research Service and the Future of AI-Enabled Policy Analysis on June 25, 2026. In advance of the hearing, AGI sent the following letter to the committee.

AGI urged the Committee on House Administration to use its oversight hearing to press CRS to modernize how it serves Congress, including by providing timely analysis, usable data, integrated information, and tools built around the needs of Members and staff. As artificial intelligence changes how Congress gathers and analyzes information, CRS must become more agile, innovative, collaborative, and transparent while protecting genuinely confidential congressional work.
