A broad coalition of thirty organizations and a dozen Congressional experts urged Senate Appropriators to protect GAO’s funding and authorities and maintain healthy appropriations levels for the Legislative branch.

The Senate Appropriations Committee is expected to mark-up the Legislative Branch Appropriations Bill, FY 2026, on Thursday.
