GSA Urged to Restore Public Comment Submission API

A broad coalition of organizations and individuals called on the General Services Administration to reinstate the capability for organizations to facilitate the submission of public comments on pending regulations without needing to visit the regulations.gov website.

The submission of public comments had previously been accomplished through the use of an API, or application programming interface, which facilitated the submissions of thousands of comments from interested individuals. However, GSA has recently disabled this important tool.
