Senators Should Oppose Pay Freeze

The American Governance Institute urged the Senate Rules Committee to reject S. Res 526, which would stop senators’ pay during a government shutdown. Opposition to CIA and DNI General Counsel Confirmation Elimination

They emphasized that confirmation hearings offer a crucial chance for public oversight in these agencies, where few positions are subject to such scrutiny.

GSA Urged to Restore Public Comment Submission API

A diverse group of organizations urged the General Services Administration to restore the ability for entities to submit public comments on regulations without visiting regulations.gov. Previously, this was possible via an API that allowed thousands of comments to be submitted, but GSA has recently disabled this crucial tool.
